The Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS) was established in 2004 to support and promote the professions of Clinical Measurement Science.  It represents professionals from the five disciplines in Clinical Measurement including Cardiac,  GI Function, Neurophysiology, Respiratory, and Vascular.

About IICMS

   

The Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science
(IICMS)

The Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science was established in September 2004. It was set up to support and promote the profession of Clinical Measurement Science. It represents professionals from the five disciplines in Clinical Measurement including Cardiac, GI Function, Neurophysiology, Respiratory and Vascular.

The current IICMS Committee consists of the following members:

  • Chairperson: Jacinta Kearns
     

  • Vice Chairperson: Ann Coughlan

  • Outgoing Chair: Michèle Agnew

  • Treasurer: Michèle Agnew
     

  • General Secretary: not appointed

  • Membership Secretary/Website: Peter Coss

  • PR/Newsletter: Tanya Vasey/Peter Coss

  • Meeting Secretary: Willie Riordan/Trish Lawlor

  • Student Liaison Officer: Sean Walsh

The committee meet on a regular basis to discuss all matters relating to the promotion of clinical measurement science.

 

IICMS Education Sub Committee

  • An additional Education Sub Committee has been established. The education sub committee is responsible for promoting excellence in the teaching of clinical measurement science both through the BSc in Clinical Measurement Science and through clinical work placements.

The current education sub committee is composed of the following members:

  • A Website Sub Committee has also been established with the aim of the creation and development of this website.

This committee is composed of:

  • Jacinta Kearns (Neurophysiology)

  • Peter Coss (Respiratory)

  • Motty Vaughese (Respiratory)

 

  • Any member of the IICMS can put themselves forward to sit on the IICMS Committee or volunteer themselves to sit on the sub committees. Nomination takes place before the AGM. All members are forwarded an invitation to the AGM including a nomination form. You can nominate yourself.  See the IICMS constitution for more details.
